Of course I remember. You had a project planned that sounded amazing. I am looking forward to seeing a picture of the final piece. If you would like to try dyeing the skein of silk, please feel free to contact me and come to my dye studio. I have lots of colors and everything you'd need. Come play anytime! - Cindy

Hi Cindy -

I hope you remember me. You sold me some undyed silk fingering yarn last fall to knit a chuppah for my daughters wedding. Here are some photos on flickr:

I had a few mishaps along the way but am really happy with how this came out. I have one hank of yarn left over and might actually try my hand at dying it!

Anyway, thanks for helping me with the yarn for this important project. It was exactly the right choice.

I hope you're well.

I saw your work while visiting the show at the Brush Gallery last Friday evening. All your work is lovely, but I was particularly intrigued by the scarves you made using paper that is later washed away leaving a lace-like, magical look Very special! Do you give lessons in this technique?

He is designing for an exhibition to take place in April of 2010. I will be designing one as well for the exhibition but mine will be woven. We will have 12-15 artists creating kimonos. I can't wait to see them. Check back now and then to see progress! - Cindy

Was intreagued by your comment about Glenn having his kimono design with him (only just found your blog). Is this one he's designed for himself, for you? Would love to see the pictures when it's done.
I'm a student of Japanese embroidery in the UK. One of these days I'll embroidery my own kimono! But don't hold your breath!
Be back again soon to see more of your lovely work.

Hi Cindy--I did happen to stumble on your blog when I was googling handwoven kimonos. Yours is absolutely stunning. Then I saw that you learned to weave at Batik and Weaving Supplier in Arlington, MA nearly 30 years ago. I learned to weave there too in 1980, and I also worked there for a couple of years, first with Bette R. then with Beth C. I never stopped weaving since that first class! Now I teach RH weaving on Schacht and Beka looms. Good luck with the exhibit. I am looking forward to following your progress as it develops! Felicitas

Besides radKIDS, another place where children and parents can learn from is called Nogginpower2. This website is every straightforward and informative. I checked out many of its readings on Nogginpower2, such as Getting great Grades, Making New Friends, Discipline and Better Quality Sleep. Nogginpower2 thus should be considered a great place for radKIDS to check out. it will provide all of the necessary skills and tools needed to survive in todays generation.

Here is one thing radKIDS might also want to consider that might be beneficial in their classes. They can check out this incredible website called NogginPower2.com. I learned that this website is helpful, in terms of their manuals being straightforward and informative. Some of the packets in Nogginpower2 include Getting Great Grades, Making New Friends, Developing Social Skills and Getting Better Quality Sleep.
