I wind fine yarns (silk, rayon, tencel) and then dye them in two colorways before threading the loom to weave a 16-harness twill pattern. I use a very fine silk to weave the cloth with. They are long and narrow.

I dye a wool/silk yarn and then wind these with ribbons to put on the loom. I wove the cloth with rayon chenille. A very fun piece to wear.

This piece was inspired by a book my daughter had called “Fruits” where teens from Japan are wearing color, texture and patterns in such a fun way. I dyed the yarns for this piece. I found the silk frog closure in Taos, NM.
